The following features are slated for the upcoming releases of DrumTrack.
This list may be edited as features are implemented or new features are planned.
Effects
Such as chorus, reverb, EQ, etc.
Better visual cues during playback
Play feedback is currently only given as a progress bar, which is laggy in Vista due to the built-in animation support for Vista progress bars.
Better pattern drag and drop visuals
Allow export of selected patterns
Realtime input to "record" drum hits based on time intervals between keystrokes.
Realtime tempo determination based on intervals between keystrokes.

Hi Dennis,
Would the new features include exporting selected patterns? Certainly this would be useful to help build up a pattern library.
Cheers,

That should be an easy one to implement, would complement the Import patterns, and I could see where it'd be useful. It's been added.
Thanks,
Dennis |

Hello
Many thanks for DrumTrack, i really like it for quickly capturing ideas and it's good to read that you have effects scheduled for it because it currently sounds a bit dry.
Would it be possible to have some kind of primitive recording as well? It does not have to be MIDI-super-real-time-responsive with the exact high quality drum-kit sounds (for the time).
Just a metronome sound and some primitive input by assignable keys (say for instance, Q:BASS, W:SNARE, E:CYMBAL, etc). Once you record the pattern you would then be able to play it back normally.
All the best |

I've done some experimentation with it - the responsiveness through the normal .Net key capturing methods just isn't responsive enough, but it's definitely do-able if I implement DirectX input support.
I'll add it to the "wishlist".
Thanks! |
